How it works
  1. Choose a riff you can play without thinking. One pass of it should fill 4 bars (16 beats).
  2. Start the click and play the riff round and round.
  3. First the click drops beat 4 of every bar, then beat 3, then beat 2.
  4. Then it drops the first beat of bar 4, then bar 2, leaving beat 1 of bars 1 and 3, then bar 3.
  5. At the end you hear only beat 1 of every 16. Are you still in time with it?

Dashed boxes are beats where the click is silent. If you notice you've drifted, drop the tempo or go back a stage.
